Workforce
Overview
Our workforce program serves Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) by connecting our participants to educational or employment development opportunities and assist them with enrolling in post-secondary education or entering the workforce. We provide life skills groups, work readiness groups, and one-on-one intensive case management. We also provide supportive services, such as basic needs assistance and transportation, as well as enrollment in our WEX program which provides work experience and training.
Programs
WAGEES 20
The Workforce program aims to serve Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) who have been justice impacted or identified as high-risk.
Our Work and Gain Education & Employment Skills (WAGEES 20) are dedicated to serving TAY, ages 18-24, who have been previously incarcerated or are anticipating imminent release from custody. Our goal is to connect our participants to educational or employment development opportunities and assist them with entering the workforce or post-secondary education.
We provide a life skills group throughout the week, work readiness groups, and 1:1 intensive case management. We also assist with supportive services (i.e. basic needs, transportation, etc.) and work to eliminate any barriers our youth may face when reconnecting with employment and education.
KREW (Kinship Re-Integration Empowerment Work)
The KREW youth mentoring and empowerment program provides imperative community engagement activities for youth who are justice impacted and or who are at risk of being involved with the justice system. Project Kinship has spearheaded programs such as KREW to ensure optimal opportunity and engagement with community members who are most in need.
We work hard to create an empathetic environment where clients can feel safe and supported, so they can focus on developing the necessary skills to thrive.
